Dumb Questions (TeacherBruceXReader) OneShot

Professor Bruce Banner taught 12th grade lower biology, surprising for a man of his talent. He had the ability to obtain any job he could possibly want in the scientific community and of all things he chose to be a teacher. And not an honors teacher, or even a regular teacher, he had decided to teach the less scientifically inclined students. Which everyone knew was just a nicer phrase for the stupid kids. But he enjoyed his work, each year brought new kids and he would inspire them in ways no one thought possible. He gave the kids a chance no one else would.

One child in particular was (F/N) (L/N), she was the youngest in her class and possibly the worst mathematician he had ever seen which in turn affected her science grades as well as math grades. But what she was good at was English, History, and Foreign Languages. The girl was in Honors English and Steve Rodgers', the history teacher, best student. She at the time knew 8 languages, 10 if dialect's were counted, but still was failing Biology and almost the same with Math.

Her failure irritated Bruce, he saw that she would go far in life but would never pass high school with out extra help. Sadly the two didn't get along all that well all the time.

"Excuse me sir," (F/N) shot her hand up into the air gaining the attention of Bruce. He, happy she was participating for once, motioned for her to ask her question. "Why are we disecting frogs?"

He though a moment for suitable answer before responding, "It is a critical point in science."

"Well am I ever going to use this in life?"

"Well you see that depends, what career do you plan on going into?" It was a dumb question, everyone in the school already knew the answer to it.

"I've got my eyes set on being a translator sir."

"Perhaps then the knowledge will not be of such use to you, now class make an inch incision over the chest and-"

"Sir,"

"Yes (L/N)," Bruce once again turned his attention to the girl seated at the back of his class stuck in a corner.

"If I'm not going to need to know how to dissect a frog in my life why am I forces to do it?"

"Because that's what this class includes, as I was saying make an incision across the chest and one cymetrical to that across the-"

"But sir," (F/N) didn't bother to raise her hand this time and just continued talking. "I HAVE to take this class, why is it mandatory?"

"I don't know take that up with the school board, now if you will please allow me to I would like to teach my class now." Bruce was beginning to become irritated and just wanted to finish his lecture, though it seemed (F/N) would not have that.

"Sure, but for rea-"

"(L/N)!" Bruce had snapped and was staring the girl down fiercely with red in his eyes. One thing the man didn't have was patience, surprising for how mellow he was.

(F/N) slunk low into her chair somewhat embarrassed that she had been yelled at, but also feeling bad for pushing her teacher to the edge. "I'll shut up now..."
